Our Statutory duties

As a provider of Developer Services we have numerous Statutory Duties with regards to the services we offer. The Water Industry Act 1991 (WIA91), as amended by The Water Act 2003 (WA03) specifies many of our duties as does The Competition and Services (Utilities) Act 1992 (CSUA92) and the Water Industry Act 1999 (WIA99). Together these legislative documents set out the guidelines within which we must work.

Statutory powers for chargeable services

Under the Water Industry Act 1991 (WIA91) and as amended by the Water Act 2003 (WA03) there are certain services that are chargeable to customers. Obviously where a customer has to pay for something they expect a certain level of service in return. We aim to completely exceed the expectations of our customers, by doing what we say we’ll do, by keeping the customer informed every step of the way and make all efforts to provide the advice and guidance as and when necessary.

Self Lay Agreements

Veolia Water have a highly experienced legal team who will oversee all contract issues from the initial enquiry through to the signed contract. They are fully educated in the legal framework for adoption agreements, self lay agreements and inset appointments. Please refer to our Self Lay page for more details.
